We had a wonderful time photographing this gorgeous, young couple at the Philbrook Museum's gardens here in Tulsa. We went for the old-fashioned, rustic, almost tintype, look with this shoot. The old brick and marble architecture, and the models' style was great inspiration. I'm absolutely loving all of it.

Villa Philbrook was built by Tulsa oilman Waite Phillips with his beloved wife Genevieve in the 1920s, just after World War I. It was built in the style of the Italian Renaissance. Supposedly, it was a place for the couple's many children to entertain their friends. Built on 23 acres and having 72 rooms, I'm sure the mansion was enough to accommodate plenty of the children's companions. It's a very romantic place from a very romantic period of American history.
